  • 2 –3 tsp milk for icing

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Chill dough for 1 hour.
  6. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut into circles and bat shapes.
  7. Place on baking sheet lined with parchment.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Pipe melted chocolate onto bat cookies for details.
  11. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make icing; pipe cobweb designs on circle cookies.
