This Spooky Banana Bread takes your favorite classic loaf and gives it a Halloween twist! Moist, naturally sweet, and warmly spiced, it’s decorated with chocolate drizzle, candy eyes, or spiderweb icing for a creepy-cute finish that’s perfect for parties, lunchboxes, or festive breakfasts.
I first made this when we had too many overripe bananas just days before Halloween. Instead of my usual go-to banana bread, I decided to dress it up—with melted chocolate “cobwebs,” a few candy eyes, and a dusting of crushed Oreos for a graveyard effect. The result? Everyone at the party devoured it (and asked for the recipe).
It’s a one-bowl, no-fuss batter made from simple ingredients like mashed bananas, flour, eggs, and brown sugar. You can add chocolate chips, walnuts, or pumpkin spice to give it extra seasonal flavor.
Whether you’re baking with kids or just want to add some spooky charm to your fall baking lineup, this Halloween banana bread is sweet, soft, and scary-good.
