Tender garlic butter steak bites made in the crock pot—easy, flavorful, and perfect for family dinners or meal prep.
Ingredients
2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch bites
5 tbsp unsalted butter
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
Instructions
1. Trim and cube steak into bite-sized pieces.
2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic, and cook for 1 minute.
3. Place steak bites into the crock pot and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder.
4. Pour garlic butter over the steak. Add soy sauce and herbs if using. Stir gently.
5. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, stirring once midway.
6. Serve hot with sides like mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread.
Notes
Browning the steak before adding to the crock pot enhances flavor but is optional.
Store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
Reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of broth or butter.
