- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup melted butter or vegetable oil
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Mash Bananas: In a bowl, mash bananas until smooth.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: Add sugar, egg, and melted butter/oil to the mashed bananas. Stir until combined.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually mix in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined (don’t overmix).
- Pour and Bake: Pour batter into the greased pan and bake for 50–60 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool and Serve: Let cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
