  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ⅓ cup melted butter or vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • Mash Bananas: In a bowl, mash bananas until smooth.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: Add sugar, egg, and melted butter/oil to the mashed bananas. Stir until combined.
  • Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually mix in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined (don’t overmix).
  • Pour and Bake: Pour batter into the greased pan and bake for 50–60 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
