Description
These garlic butter smash burgers are crispy, juicy, and rich with homemade garlic butter. Perfect for a weeknight meal or cookout hit.
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1/4 tsp salt
Black pepper to taste
1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
4 brioche or potato buns
4 slices American cheese
Toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion
Instructions
1. Melt butter with garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper; simmer 3–5 minutes.
2. Form beef into 4 loose balls; chill.
3. Heat skillet until smoking.
4. Smash beef balls in skillet, brush with garlic butter, and season.
5. Flip, add cheese, and cook until melted.
6. Toast buns in garlic butter.
7. Assemble with toppings and more garlic butter.
8. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use cast iron for best results.
Double the garlic butter to freeze for future meals.
Low-carb? Serve with lettuce wraps instead of buns.
