Dough:

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp yeast

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup softened butter

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Make the Dough:
    Mix milk, sugar, yeast, and sourdough discard. Add butter, egg, flour, and salt. Knead until smooth. Let rise 1–2 hours.

  • Prepare the Filling:
    Mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out the dough, spread butter, and sprinkle filling.

  • Roll and Cut:
    Roll up the dough, slice into 12 rolls, and place in a greased dish.

  • Rise and Bake:
    Let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes.

  • Glaze:
    Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over rolls and enjoy!
