Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the sourdough starter and buttermilk (or milk with vinegar/lemon juice) to the dry ingredients.
- Stir until a rough dough forms. Don’t overmix.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently shape it into a round loaf.
- Place the loaf on the prepared baking sheet. Score an “X” on top with a sharp knife.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and hollow when tapped.
